We've seen some truly outstanding performances lately, proving that Northfield High isn't just about sports and social events; it's a powerhouse of learning and intellectual growth. Our debate team, for instance, just took home the regional championship trophy after a nail-biting final round. These brilliant minds debated topics ranging from environmental policy to economic theory, showcasing their sharp wit, extensive research, and persuasive speaking skills. Coach Evans said, "I couldn't be prouder of these students. They dedicated countless hours after school and on weekends, and their hard work truly paid off. Furthermore, a significant number of our juniors and seniors participated in the Advanced Placement (AP) exams this past spring, and the results are in! Mark your calendars, Nighthawks! There are a ton of exciting events and activities happening at Northfield High that you won't want to miss. First up, this Friday evening, we're hosting our annual Fall Festival on the main quad. Expect live music from student bands, delicious food trucks offering a variety of treats, fun games, and a chance to connect with your fellow students and the community. Following the Fall Festival, next week kicks off Spirit Week, leading up to our big homecoming game. Get ready to show your Nighthawk pride! Each day will have a different theme, so start planning your outfits now. We’re talking Tacky Tourist Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and of course, Nighthawk Friday! Student Council has been working hard to organize some awesome spirit week activities, including lunchtime competitions and pep rallies that will get everyone hyped up. The following week, the drama department is proud to present their fall production: a captivating performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The cast and crew have been rehearsing tirelessly, bringing Shakespeare's magical world to life. Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings in the auditorium. Tickets will be available for purchase at the school office starting next Monday. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our talented performing arts students and enjoy a night of incredible theater.
